When someone you love dies you suddenly have a lot of decisions to make and this can be very hard on top of the emotional challenges of this time.
It helps if a loved one has left his or her wishes about the funeral but this isn’t often the case and so for most people there are decisions to be made about what kind of funeral would be most fitting, where it should be, what will be sung and said.
Your first point of contact may be with the Funeral Directors and they will help you with all the arrangements. If you would like to meet with one of the clergy to discuss possibilities then do please contact us directly (via The Revd David Rice at firstname.lastname@example.org or tel 01491 202188). If you have already decided that you wish the service to be at St Mary’s or St Leonard’s Church the funeral director will contact us to fix the date. One of the clergy will then arrange to meet with you to discuss the service.
Whether you have the service in one of our Churches or at the crematorium we are here to support you in your time of loss. St Mary’s Church is open all day every day if you wish to come and pray and light a candle. And please do not hesitate to contact one of the clergy if you need further support and prayer.
