Come and join us at St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival to see 25 trees sponsored by local businesses and decorated by the local schools and organisations; also see the ‘Big Tree’ donated and decorated by Notcutts Garden Centre.
Entrance is free to the festival, which is open from 7th—10th December. Timetables will be available for you to collect from St Mary’s in late November and on this webpage. We will share all proceeds from refreshments and donations between St Mary’s Tower Fund and Sue Ryder Hospice, Nettlebed. Each day there will be mulled wine, hot soup, mince pies, cakes and hot drinks. Enjoy “The Challenge”: each tree is decorated with a particular Carol or Christmas song and the challenge is to work out which one belongs to which tree.
The Festival features daily musical entertainment. Hear Thameside U3A ‘Singing for Fun’ Choir sing carols on Friday 9th December at 2.30 pm. Our festival closes on Saturday 10th with the Wallingford Parish Choir singing “Carols amongst the trees” at 7.00 pm. Entrance is free, with retiring donations.
Raffle tickets with super prizes are now on sale and during the festival; winning tickets will be drawn on the closing evening.
