St Mary’s is open for private prayer every Friday and Saturday 10:00 – 12:00.
Daily Morning Prayer (Monday – Friday inclusive) is currently held on Zoom; if you wish to join, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
We will be re-opening St Mary’s for public worship on Sunday 16 August. Church will feel quite different with social distancing requirements and, as there will be a limited number of places available, we are trialling a booking system. A total of 30 people can be accommodated. So, if you would like to attend church on 16, 23 or 30 August, please click here to go to the booking system. Both individual and family bookings, for those who wish to worship together, are possible. A different booking is needed for every Sunday you wish to attend. You should receive a confirmation email so, if this doesn’t arrive in your Inbox, please check your Junk mail.
We hope you will find it straightforward and we very much look forward to seeing you in church.
Live streaming of the service will continue for those who are not part of the physical congregation.
St Leonard’s will remain closed for the moment and all Services other than 10:00 on Sunday in St Mary’s are suspended.
If you would like Revd David Rice to say a prayer for you at his regular Morning Prayer, please email him: email@example.com
A weekly Church at Home Holy Communion service is live-streamed and available on this link.

You are very welcome to join us at any of our services. We offer a variety of services to meet a range of needs. We also have special services at Easter, Advent and Christmas; for details of these services, see upcoming special events. Our accessibility statements can be found with our policies.
Our regular services are listed below and can also be found on our church calendar.
Holy Communion (8am), celebrated in the beautiful old church of St Leonard, using the Book of Common Prayer.
Our mid-morning services are held at St Mary’s in the centre of the town and are followed by time for refreshments and a chat:
Parish Communion (10am), following Common Worship liturgy, which gives the children an opportunity to attend JAM during the service. For more information on JAM see our Children & youth activities.
Family Service (normally 2nd Sunday, 10.15am) is preceded by activities for children of all ages (9:45am) and followed by Holy Communion (11.15am).
All Age Communion (normally 4th Sunday, 10am), where children and young people often contribute to the service, for example through readings, musical contributions or prayers, follows Common Worship liturgy.
Parish & All Age Communion are led by the Wallingford Parish Church Choir.
Of special note at St Leonard’s is a Choral Evensong service, most months, and a Sung Evensong on other Sundays; both services start at 6.30pm.
When you attend one of the Sunday services you will receive a copy of the weekly pewsheet. It is also available from the Town Information Centre, under the Town Hall, and at the entrances to the churches. Recent pewsheets listed below are viewable online. If you’d like to receive a regular copy by email please contact the editor.
