We gather as a church family every Sunday at both St Leonard’s Church and St Mary’s Church. Our robed choir and music group enrich our morning service at St Mary’s and Evensong at St Leonard’s, most Sundays; both groups welcome adults and children. For a list of our normal services, click here.
Parish Network Groups
All regular members of our congregations are allocated to one of our Parish Network Groups. The purpose of these groups is to provide an informal ‘safety net’, a way of keeping a friendly eye on members of the congregation.
Some members of our parish are unable to attend church due to sickness or age; in this event, there is a small team of people who celebrate communion with them at their homes
Holy Communion is also taken to local care homes, Westgate House and Rush Court, every month. Some members of the choir join the Rector to sing hymns for the residents.
A series of talks on relevant issues is offered during the autumn, to which everyone in the community is welcome. This year’s talks are focusing on the environment, exploring what the Christian faith has to say about our care of creation. The series of three talks is entitled Cherishing God’s Earth.
